60 bottles AOC Limoux TOQUES & CLOCHERS - Clocher SAINT COUA - Lot 106
60 bottles AOC Limoux TOQUES & CLOCHERS - Clocher SAINT COUAT DU RAZES (Winegrower Christine Vié and Hervé Garcia, Oceanic terroir) Tasting notes: Eye: pale yellow colour, brilliant, limpid. Nose: beautiful intensity on lemony notes giving freshness to the wine. Mouth: a beautiful attack, freshness. A beautiful balance, where we find citrus fruit notes and a certain sweetness, as well as spices such as white pepper. The finish is long on the lemony notes which, little by little, fade to let the peppery notes take over. Winegrower : The family estate of Tournou is a very old estate, according to several historical documents from the fourteenth century, and was then under the control of the abbey of Alet-les-Bains. The imposing square tower of the Château de Tournou still dominates the vineyard slopes, including the parcel of Toques et Clochers, which is located right under the château. In the eighteenth century, the vine already held an important place with a harvest sold at auction on January 29th 1793. It was in 1909 that Christine Vié's great-grandmother inherited the estate. It was Léonce (Christine's father) who planted the estate's first Chardonnay in 1978. This first plot of land which today represents the Saint Couat Bell Tower.
