60 bottles AOC Limoux TOQUES & CLOCHERS - Clocher MALRAS (Winegrower Benoît Calvel, Oceanic terroir) Tasting notes: Eye: pale yellow robe, brilliant, limpid. Nose: beautiful lemony intensity giving it a very good liveliness. Palate: a wine with a nice freshness, tension and a nice structure. We are on a lively and straightforward wine. A long, fresh finish with lemony notes. Winegrower: Benoît Calvel is the third generation of winegrowers. Passionate about the vine from a very young age, he has accompanied his father on the plots of land and learned the trade. He studied science and then viticulture. It was therefore quite natural that Benoît Calvel settled in 2000 with 15 hectares. In 2016, his father Bernard retired and Benoît took over all the vines. He is now at the head of a 65-hectare vineyard that he is constantly modernising and renewing. Concerned about his environment, Benoît Calvel has bought a scraper to work the soil under the vines and therefore no longer uses herbicides on certain plots of land, including Toques et Clochers. Thus, for many years, Benoît Calvel has been putting all his passion and know-how into the production of quality grapes.
