60 bottles AOC Limoux TOQUES & CLOCHERS - Clocher CASTELRENG - Lot 81
60 bottles AOC Limoux TOQUES & CLOCHERS - Clocher CASTELRENG (Winegrower Sandrine Bonnes Michel, Oceanic terroir) Tasting notes: Eye: pale yellow robe, brilliant, limpid. Nose: good intensity on lemony notes, with a peppery touch. Mouth: beautiful attack, a fresh and tense wine where we find the notes of the olfaction. A lot of finesse on the palate with good balance. Long finish, on the freshness, with a lemony note. Winegrower: The land of the Domaine de la Bouissonne was part of the Tournou seigniory under the old regime. There was a "fort" on the site of the current farm, which was probably destroyed during the religious wars in 1586. Only a pretty square tower-shaped dovecote remains today. But the wine-growing tradition is much older still, since there was a Gallo-Roman "villa" there at the end of the Roman Empire (3rd / 4th century). Just above the vineyard were found the remains of agricultural buildings with numerous shards of pottery and amphoras. One can therefore legitimately think that vine growing was already present in La Bouissonne 17 centuries ago. The Bonnes family entered this long history of the estate in 1930 when Philippe Bonnes (grandfather of Jean-Louis and Jean-Claude Bonnes) bought the property. In 1972 Jean-Louis Bonnes planted the Toques et Clochers chardonnay parcel, making it one of the oldest in Castelreng.
