60 bottles AOC Limoux TOQUES & CLOCHERS - Clocher POMAS (Win - Lot 64
60 bottles AOC Limoux TOQUES & CLOCHERS - Clocher POMAS (Winemaker Caroline Le Roy De Boiseaumarie, Mediterranean terroir) Tasting
notes: Eye: pale yellow colour, brilliant, limpid. Nose: we are on fruity and citrus fruit notes with a rather discreet and fine touch. Mouth: good attack, fresh, we find a lemony touch, fruity notes (peach) and a peppery touch. We have a nice finish, long, on citrus fruits with a note of saltiness.
Winegrower : Located in the commune of Pomas, the Domaine de Fourminis is a family heritage. Adrien Cassaigneau de Brasse, Caroline's ancestor, acquired it in the 18th century. Over time, the estate has been passed down by women, Caroline is the 6th generation. At that time, vines were already being cultivated, but there was also the exploitation of the wood present on the estate and sheep breeding. It should be noted that Caroline's great uncle, Adrien Maurin de Brignac was one of the founders of the Cave Sieur d'Arques in 1946 and was its Honorary President. His father, Pierre de Ginestous, was the first in the Limoux appellation to plant Chardonnay in Fourminis! It is with great seriousness that Caroline is involved in this mission by making the estate prosper as her ancestors did before her. In 1997, she replanted Chardonnay at a place called Les Amandiers, now a parcel of Toques et Clochers. The lineage will not stop there since Caroline has two daughters whose legacy is to perpetuate this beautiful history of winemaking.
