150 bottles AOC Limoux TOQUES & CLOCHERS - Clocher SAINT-JOS - Lot 23
150 bottles AOC Limoux TOQUES & CLOCHERS - Clocher SAINT-JOSEPH Limoux (Winegrower Henri-Pierre Cabannes, Autan terroir) Tasting notes: Eye: pale yellow robe, brilliant, limpid. Nose: good intensity on citrus fruit notes, particularly lemony. Palate: nice attack, fresh, with lemon notes, some spices and a nice toasted taste. Balanced wine. Fairly long finish on a note of lemon and grey pepper. Winegrower: The history of the Cabannes family is one that is intimately linked to the history of France and the events that constitute it. Originally from Algeria, Joseph Cabannes left Algeria in 1963, and found himself in Limoux by chance, following the wise advice of a soldier he met in North Africa. In 1964, Joseph Cabannes acquired the Pradals estate and, anxious to rebuild a new life in France, put all the necessary means to work in the vineyard. Combining to perfection the viticultural techniques imported from Algeria and the Limoux tradition, Joseph Cabannes made the Domaine des Pradals a 26-hectare wine-growing example. Today, the second generation, Henri-Pierre Cabannes, continues this magnificent work in the image of Saint Joseph, patron saint of his Bell Tower.
